One player linked to Arsenal has signalled that his future could be in doubt if he can’t secure consistent game time.
All eyes are on what sporting director Andrea Berta can produce in his first taste of transfer action at Arsenal.
The 2025 summer transfer window holds great importance to Mikel Arteta’s squad, with attacking players at the top of the priority list.
The Gunners have been linked to an array of attacking talent in preparation for the 2025/26 campaign, one of which is Real Madrid superstar Arda Guler.

Arsenal-linked Arda Guler hints at transfer
Arsenal were credited with interest in Guler leading up to the 2025 January transfer window as the Turkey international struggled to get consistent minutes at Madrid.
Interest in the versatile playmaker resurfaced before the summer market opened, as Arsenal Insider revealed that the Gunners had enquired about Guler.
As things have changed at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Xabi Alonso arriving to replace Carlo Ancelotti, several players at the club are waiting to learn of the role they will play under the new boss.
One of them is Arsenal target Rodrygo, and another is Guler, who spoke about his future when speaking to the media during a mixed zone at the Club World Cup, as relayed by Marca.

When quizzed on whether he could leave Real Madrid, the Turk admitted he hadn’t thought about leaving the Galacticos, but that doesn’t mean that his exit is impossible.
“For now, I haven’t thought about leaving, but of course, if I don’t play, I’ll think about everything, but for now, I’m totally focused on Real Madrid.”
After signing for Madrid in a deal worth just £17m from Fenerbahce, Guler had a difficult first season in Spain, suffering a serious knee injury.
Since his 2023 arrival, Guler has recorded only 23 starts for Los Blancos, but hopes his minutes can increase under Alonso’s watch.
Mesut Ozil would love Arsenal to sign Guler
The player himself admitted that if things don’t change, he would be open to searching for a greater role at another club.
Given that Arsenal have the 20-year-old on their radar, there could be an opening for the Gunners to lure the starlet to N5 if his fortune doesn’t turn around.
Striking a deal for Guler would make many at the Emirates very happy, as well as one figure who used to call North London home.
Mesut Ozil is an admirer of Guler, whom he crossed paths with at Fenerbahce before retiring from professional football.
Ozil has spoken incredibly highly of the youngster before, even saying that he’d choose the Turk over Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Guler idolises Ozil and could be tempted to follow in his hero’s footsteps and make the move to Arsenal, but first, he will be eager to suss out what his future at the Bernabeu could look like.
It would be a fascinating move for Berta to sanction, with all eyes on how Alonso deals with the 2005-born talent.
